The SEC asked a Boston federal judge to force domain provider GoDaddy.com to cooperate with an investigation to identify the names of a group of alleged scammers accused of using numerous websites to defraud crypto investors.

U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson denied Binance Holdings’ request to prevent the SEC from publicly stating that the crypto exchange mishandled customer assets.

The European Union adopted a regulation on markets in crypto-assets (MiCA) in May, setting an EU-level framework for crypto-assets for the first time. MiCA will go into force on June 29, 2023, and will regulate utility tokens, stablecoins, and significant asset-referenced tokens or significant e-money tokens.

Asset manager BlackRock filed an application with the SEC last week to launch the iShares Bitcoin Trust, a spot BTC exchange-traded fund (ETF).
