District Judge Dismisses Coin Center’s Challenge to Upcoming Tax Reporting Requirements
US District Judge Karen Caldwell dismissed crypto nonprofit Coin Center’s challenge to a forthcoming tax reporting requirement that would mandate firms report crypto transactions above $10,000. Because the rule does not take effect until January 1, 2024, Judge Caldwell determined that the crypto users had not established any injury or clear injury to come when the rule takes effect.
