Investors in Terraform Labs have voluntarily dropped their claims accusing the company and CEO Do Kwon of racketeering, selling unregistered securities, and misleading investors.

Stablecoin issuer Circle Internet Financial Ltd. and crypto investment fund Paradigm Operations submitted filings in SEC v. Binance arguing that the SEC overstepped its authority when it filed charges against Binance in June.

Rep. Don Beyer (D-VA) introduced the Off-Chain Digital Commodity Transaction Reporting Act. The bill would require trading platforms to report all transactions to a repository registered with the CFTC, in order to "restore some transparency and confidence to the digital asset market."

The New York Times published an article outlining the state of crypto lobbying since early 2022, including recent efforts from the nonprofit Stand With Crypto. The article also highlights that "The crypto industry faces a more difficult landscape in Washington after last fall’s collapse of FTX," and notes that some companies have left the US due to regulatory uncertainty.

US District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan declined to release Sam Bankman-Fried from jail ahead of his upcoming trial, saying the FTX founder faces a “very long sentence” if convicted.
