A Texas federal court ordered cryptocurrency expert Mauricio Chavez to pay a yet-to-be-determined amount in disgorgement and penalties after being accused by the SEC of soliciting investments for CryptoFX LLC, a company Chavez claimed was a “cryptocurrency learning academy.”
